Rising Millionaires
Instructions
Why we play
Rising Millionaires trains your mind to feel abundance and to stretch how much wealth you’re ready to receive. Each day you get a growing sum of imaginary money, and your job is to spend it — on real things, at real prices, with a real reason.
Along the way you’ll:
- Think bigger. Small budgets are easy. €250,000 in one day makes you look at business investments, property and high-end purchases you’d normally scroll past.
- Do real research. Real listings, real prices, real comparisons. The more specific you are, the more it feels like yours.
- Stretch your imagination. Who would you help? What would you build? Where would you go?
- Get comfortable with big numbers. Spending large sums, even pretend ones, takes the anxiety out of them. By day 30, a million feels a lot less scary.
There’s no winning or losing and no pressure. It’s meant to feel good.
How a day works
- Open Today to see your budget.
- Add purchases one at a time: what it is, the price, a category, and optionally a link, a picture and why you chose it.
- Once you’ve spent at least 90%, press Close Day.
- The next day unlocks tomorrow.
House rules
- Close at 90%. You can close a day once you’ve spent at least 90% of its budget. Whatever is left rolls over into the next day.
- A little over is fine. You can go up to 10% over budget. The extra comes off the next day.
- One day per calendar day. A new day unlocks each calendar day, so you can’t play ahead.
- Skipping is free. Busy? Nothing is lost. When you come back, you pick up exactly where you left off.
- Unfinished days save themselves. If you bought something but didn’t close the day, it closes on its own the next day. If you reached 90%, the leftover still rolls over; otherwise the unspent money simply lapses, with no penalty.
- Closed days are final. Once a day is closed it can’t be edited, just like a real receipt.
- Starting over. You can start a new game anytime. The old one is archived and stays in History forever.

Tips
- Pictures on a phone: long-press an image and choose “Copy image address”, then paste it into the Picture field. Copying the page link instead won’t work.
- Use Observations. A line about why you chose something makes looking back much more fun.
- Look back. Each game’s Overview shows where your money went, a picture board of everything you bought, and a CSV export.
Rising Millionaires is our take on the classic “prosperity game”, inspired by Abraham-Hicks’ visualization exercise and adapted for our own play. The idea isn’t ours; the house rules are.
